Venezuelan VP Rodriguez Meets With Qatari PM Al Thani

They reviewed their bilateral cooperation agenda and international matters.

On Tuesday, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez and the Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held a meeting in which they discussed deepening cooperation between their nations.

“I thank the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for such a fruitful meeting in which, along with the Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and both delegations, we reviewed the bilateral cooperation agenda and international matters,” she said.

“We conveyed President Nicolas Maduro’s greetings to the Emir and expressed our willingness to continue strengthening relations,” Rodriguez added.

On Monday night, Rodriguez, who is also the Oil Minister, arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, to promote proposals for the “shared development of our peoples in various strategic areas.”

Previously, the Bolivarian official was in China, where Venezuela finalized a strategic partnership agreement in the oil sector with the China National Petroleum Corporation.

Through over 17 meetings with Chinese authorities, Rodriguez addressed new agreements on issues related to energy, finance, Artificial Intelligence, health, education, and production.
